HOUSTON – HBU men's soccer head coach
Ryan Pratt announced the signing of defender Aldo Tarantini.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Tarantini was born to parents Miguel Tarantini and Ana Marie Pacheco and has one sister, Sofia.
He attended Bellaire High School where he played for head coach Douglas Harrison, just minutes away from HBU's campus. He lettered in two seasons at Bellaire, scoring 10 career goals and assisting on 16 others. Tarantini was named First-Team All-District in his junior and senior seasons, and was also named District MVP his senior year.
Tarantini played club ball for Houston FC and head coach Bruce Talbot. He attended Appalachian State in 2018 where he scored one goal and assisted on another and was named to the Sun Belt All-Academic Team. He attended Campbell University in 2019 where he was named to the Big South All-Academic Team.
"Aldo is a versatile player who will come in and compete for multiple positions across the back line and in the midfield," Pratt said. "I am excited to see how his experiences will translate and aid in his success here at HBU.
Aldo looks forward the challenges HBU offers in the classroom while he continues his soccer career close to home. He will join the Huskies in the Spring of 2022 and plans on majoring in Business Administration.
