HOUSTON, TEXAS – The HBU Huskies prepare to host the McNeese Cowgirls in Southland Conference basketball as it will be the Huskies second to last home game of the season.
 
The Huskies (6-20, 2-15 SLC) junior Megan Valdez-Crader continues to lead the pack scoring an average of 11.3 points per game while averaging 2.8 rebounds and stealing the ball for a team leading 48 times. Sophomore Marilyn Nzoiwu leads the team in rebounds per game with 5.0 while also leading the team in blocks with 31 on the year. Freshman forward N'Denasija Collins leads the team in shooting percentage with 47.7 percent from the field whole averaging 6.6 ppg.
 
The Cowgirls (5-21, 2-15 SLC) are led by Damilola Balogun who leads the team in scoring with an average of 11.1 ppg while leading the team in blocks with eight on the season. Balogun also leads the conference in rebounds per game with an average of 10.4 per game two rebounds higher than second place Aiyana Johnson of Stephen F. Austin.
 
The Huskies return home for the last time Wednesday night as we celebrate our beloved Seniors as they finish out their last matchup in Sharp Gym at 7 p.m. against the Incarnate Word Cardinals.
