HOUSTON, Texas – The HBU Huskies host the Abilene Christian Wildcats Wednesday evening after coming off a 72-59 victory over the Lamar Cardinals at home. Husky fans can tune into all the action at the Husky Sport Network with Lonnie King providing play-by-play via HBUHuskies.com
 
The Huskies (6-17, 2-12 SLC) are coming off a 13-point victory over the Lamar Cardinals with the help of sophomore guard Julija Vujakovic who scored 21 points with four rebounds, one assist, one block, and three steals. Junior guard Megan Valdez-Crader has scored double digits in her past two games averaging 12.5 points per game and is ranked sixth in the conference in steals with an average of two steals per game.  Sophomore Marilyn Nzoiwu leads the team with an average of 4.5 rebounds per game.
 
The Wildcats (18-5,10-4 SLC) dynamic duo Breanna Wright and Dominique Golightly are both in the top three in scoring in the conference. Breanna Wright leads the conference in scoring with 17.1 ppg and has an average of 5.1 assists per game. Dominique Golightly is second on the team in scoring with an average of 15.5 ppg while averaging six rebounds per game.
 
The Huskies head out to Huntsville to faceoff with the Sam Houston Bearkats on Saturday at 3 p.m.
