ABILENE, Texas – The HBU Huskies head out to Abilene to face the Abilene Christian Wildcats in Southland Conference play. Husky fans can listen to the game on the Husky Sports Network with Lonnie King providing play-by-play via HBUHuskies.com.
 
The Huskies (5-16, 1-11 SLC) junior guard Megan Valdez-Crader comes in the game scoring an average of 11.2 points per game while shooting 35.5 percent from the field with an average of 2.7 rebounds per game.  Sophomore forward Marilyn Nzoiwu leads the team in rebounds averaging 4.6 per game and blocks with 18 on the year while scoring 3.6 ppg.  
 
The Huskies hold an advantage in total blocks over the Wildcats, 79-56.
 
The Wildcats (17-4, 9-3 SLC) are 7-3 in their last ten games. Breanna Wright leads the conference in scoring with 16.9 ppg with a team leading 46 steals ranking her sixth in conference. Dominique Golightly ranks second in the conference in scoring 15.4 ppg while ranking 14th in the conference in rebounds.
 
The Huskies return home to host the Lamar Cardinal in its annual "Play 4 Kay" breast cancer awareness game this Saturday at 2 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
