WBB: Huskies Ready to Face Off With Northwestern State on the Road
NACHITOCHES, LOUISIANA- HBU Women's Basketball heads to Louisiana on the middle leg of their three game road trip. The Huskies will be facing off with the Lady Demons of Northwestern State Sunday at 2:00 P.M.
HBU (4-8, 0-3 SLC) is coming off a loss to Central Arkansas on New Year's Day. The Huskies are led by
Timia Jefferson who is averaging 9.9 points per game.
Megan Valdez-Crader follows her up with 8.9 points per game and leads the team with 24 assists.
Marilyn Nzoiwu is getting the work done on the glass for HBU with 4.6 rebounds per game to lead the team.
Northwestern State (3-9, 0-3 SLC) most recently lost a matchup with Texas A&M-CC Jan. 2. The Lady Demons are led by Kira Bonner who is posting 12.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Jasmyn Johnson is behind her in scoring with 8.9 points per game and leads the team in steals with 36. Victoria Miller adds 5.3 points and a team high 4.9 rebounds a game.
HBU will then travel to Lamar to finish out their three game road trip before returning home to Sharp Gym Jan.18 to face off with Sam Houston State.
