SAN ANTONIO – Texas – The HBU Huskies head west to the Alamo City to take on the UIW Cardinals in Southland Conference basketball Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Husky Sports Network with Bill Cousins.
 
In the Huskies' (4-13, 0-8 SLC) last game against McNeese they had four players score in double digits. Freshman guard Timia Jefferson has scored 42 points in her last two appearances scoring an average of 21 points per game, raising her season average to a team-high 11.2. Junior guard Megan Valdez-Crader comes into the matchup ranked fifth in the Conference with a total of 33 steals, averaging 2.2 per game.
 
UIW (8-9, 4-4 SLC) comes into the game losing their last two of their last three at home. Cardinals guard Imani Robinson who ranks ninth in the conference is leads the team with an average of 13.1 ppg. Guard Kara Speer is currently eight in the conference with an average of 7.2 rebounds per game.
