NEW ORLEANS – HBU rebounded from a loss to host Tulane to sweep Missouri State to close out the Allstate Sugar Bowl Volleyball Classic Saturday at Devlin Fieldhouse.
HBU (4-3) took care of the Bears by scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-12.

Mikayla Vivens, who made the All-Tournament Team, hit .480 with 13 kills and 11 digs for her second double-double of the season for the Huskies. Junior outside hitter

Hannah Lewis came up with 10 digs.
Chloe Rear and Aubrey Cheffey each had seven kills for the Bears, with Rear also recording 10 assists and Cheffey eight digs. Leah Vokolek led MSU with 10 digs.
HBU hit .286, while holding MSU to .082. The Huskies outblocked the Bears, 11.0-3.0, outdug them, 43-36, and outaced them, 10-2.
The Huskies found their footing a little too late in the loss to Tulane, falling, 25-4, 25-21, 28-26.
Vivens led HBU with seven kills and 10 digs, while Ballesteros had six kills and two blocks. Freshman setter
Ellie Wipf notched 12 assists, Lewis had eight digs and Patillo posted four blocks.
Lexie Douglas had 10 kills and four digs for the Green Wave, while Erika Hansel added eight kills. Kayla Dinkins totaled seven kills and seven blocks, while Kaylie McHugh had 18 digs. Jenna Ibieta handed out 16 assists, with Amanda Giardina recoding 10.
Tulane hit .314 and held HBU to -.021. Digs were even at 45 apiece and the Green Wave held an 8.0-6.0 advantage in blocks.
HBU returns home to host crosstown rival Rice Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
