TULSA, Okla. - HBU and UTSA traded set victories, but the Roadrunners were able to hold off the Huskies for a 3-2 (25-14, 18-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-9) victory in non-conference volleyball Saturday at the Tulsa Invitational in the Reynolds Center.

Megan Patillo had 12 kills and three blocks, while junior outside hitter
Mikayla Vivens recorded her second-straight double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs for the Huskies (5-6). Junior rightsize
Ashtyn Richey added six kills and four blocks and sophomore middle blocker
Jada Allen had five kills and four blocks. Junior setter
Morgan Dewyer posted 27 assists, senior libero
Hannah Lewis had 14 digs and junior defensive specialist
Camie Copeland had 10.
Four Roadrunners had double-digit kills, with Kirby Smith and Brianna McCulloch leading the way with 11 and Hannah Lopez and Jenna Patton had 10 each. Smith also double-doubled with 10 digs, while Emily Ramirez had 16 digs and Lydia Niebla had 10. Mia Perales and Courtney Walters each had 19 assists and Walters also chipped in 10 digs.
UTSA hit .181, while HBU hit .148. The Roadrunners outdug the Huskies, 67-60, and outaced them, 7-3, but HBU outblocked UTSA, 10.0-6.0.

Kelly Colwell were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Huskies return to action when they host crosstown rival University of Houston Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Sharp Gym. HBU will then finish up non-conference play against Washington State, host UT Rio Grande Valley and Texas Southern at the UTRGV Tournament next weekend in Edinburg.
