WBB: Huskies Season Finale on the Road Against the Islanders
CORPUS CHRISTI- HBU Women's basketball finishes up their season on the road against the Islanders Saturday March 9th at 2:30 P.M.
HBU (8-19, 3-14) are coming in off a road victory against Incarnate Word by a score of 67-52. The trio of
Sophie Taylor,
Megan Valdez-Crader, and
Amanda Johnson combine for 45 points in the win for the Huskies. That trio also leads the Huskies in scoring on the season with Taylor averaging 10, Valdez-Crader averaging 10.6, and Johnson averaging 13.1 points per game.Â
Texas A&M-CC (14-14, 8-9) is coming off 62-51 win against McNeese and are fighting for seeding in the Southland Conference Tournament. The Islanders are led by Dalesia Booth who averages 11.8 points, and 4.8 rebounds per game. Alexes Bryant follows her up with 10.8 points and 6,8 rebounds a game. Emma Young adds 9.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.Â
