WBB: HBU Ready to Take on SFA
NACOGDOCHES, TX- HBU women's basketball has a short road trip to Stephen F. Austin Wednesday night at 6:30p.m. The Huskies are coming off a 56-70 loss against Texas A&M Corpus Christi and the Lady Jacks are coming off a 78-68 win against Sam Houston.
HBU (7-12, 2-7 SLC) had three players score in the double-digits in the loss to the Islanders.
Natalia Gwarda recorded 10 points including the first eight of the game for the Huskies adding six rebounds.
Sophie Taylor scored 11 points going a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line.
Amanda Johnson added 11 points and three rebounds.
Stephen F. Austin (17-3, 8-0 SLC) is amidst a nine game win streak led by Chanell Hayes with 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds a game. Riley Harvey leads the Lady Jacks in rebounding with 7.3 a game while scoring 10.2 points a game. Imani Johnson adds 12.2 points and 5.6 rebounds a game.
