HOUSTON – The HBU men's basketball team will take aim at visiting Stephen F. Austin this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Sharp Gym as the Huskies look to build on the momentum of the last two games and continue working their way up the Southland Conference standings. As usual, Husky fans can watch all the action via the Husky Sports Network broadcast with Lonnie King providing play-by-play commentary, available at HBUHuskies.com.

The Huskies (7-13, 3-6 SLC) never trailed in their last game, a home 73-72 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in which HBU shot 51 percent from the floor and connected on 63.6 percent (14-of-22) in the second half to hold off the Islanders. Stephen O'Suji and Ty Dalton both gave HBU career-highs in points while Benjamin Uloko added 12 off the bench.

Since being inserted into the starting lineup three games ago when HBU visited McNeese, O'Suji and Dalton have both responded with strong play and increased production. O'Suji has averaged 15 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game and 3.3 assists per game during that three-game stretch and has twice set new career-highs in scoring, including his 18-point performance against TAMUCC. Dalton, meanwhile, has upped his career-best in each of the last three games, culminating in a 14-point outing against TAMUCC. The sophomore is shooting 57.1 percent from the field and averaging 11 ppg and seven rpg as a starter.

SFA (11-9, 4-4 SLC) is 2-5 on the road this season with its lone conference road win coming at Incarnate Word, 74-71. Most recently, the Lumberjacks lost SLC leader Sam Houston State by a score of 94-72. Junior Kevon Harris led SFA with 20 points while senior Shannon Bogues had 19. The Lumberjacks were out-rebounded 45-25 in the loss and 42.9 percent as a team.

Harris and Bogues, along with graduate transfer Davonte Fitzgerald, provide a majority of the SFA offense. For the season, the trio has accounted for 66.2 percent of the Lumberjacks' points with that percentage rising to 72.5 percent in SLC play. Against conference opponents, Harris is leading the league with 21 ppg while also pulling down eight rpg while Bogues is adding 17.5 ppg with Fitzgerald pitching in 13.1 ppg.

HBU will next hit the road for its longest trek of the conference season when the Huskies travel to Conway, Ark. to take on the Bears of Central Arkansas on Wednesday, Feb. 13, before returning home for a pair against Nicholls and Northwestern State.
