WBB: Huskies Hit the Road Against Northwestern State
Natchitoches, La.- HBU women's basketball hits the road for two games this week beginning in Natchitoches against the Lady Demons of Northwestern State. The Lady Demons are coming off a loss to Stephen F. Austin by a score of 67-87 and the Huskies are coming off a narrow defeat against Nicholls 55-58.
HBU (7-15, 2-10 SLC) are led in scoring by senior
Amanda Johnson who is averaging 13.1 points per game to go with 1.9 rebounds per game.
Megan Valdez-Crader is the other Husky averaging in double digits with 11 points per game adding 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
Taylor Kollmorgen leads HBU in rebounding with 5.7 per game adding 6 points per game.Â
Northwestern State (8-16, 3-10 SLC) also has two players averaging double digits in scoring starting with RaVon Nero who is averaging 12.2 points per game. Kira Bonner follows her up with 10 points per game. Nautica Grant sits just outside double digit scoring with 9.8 points per game.
HBU will next travel to Huntsville to take on Sam Houston this Saturday Feb. 23 in a double header with the men's teams playing later that night.Â
