WBB: Huskies set for Midweek Matchup against Central Arkansas
HOUSTON, TX- HBU women's basketball returns to action off of their bye for a home contest against Central Arkansas Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:00 p.m.
HBU (7-13, 2-8 SLC) is coming off a bye, but in their last matchup they dropped a contest on the road against Stephen F. Austin 53-65.
Sophie Taylor led the Huskies in scoring with 15 points.
Natalia Gwarda did some solid work in the paint with eight points and six rebounds.
Megan Valdez-Crader added 10 points and four rebounds in the loss.
Central Arkansas (9-12, 4-7 SLC) is led by Kamry Orr who averages 15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Taylor Sells follows her with 7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Mekaylan Hicks leads Central Arkansas in rebounding with 5.6 rebounds per game adding 6.7 points per game.
HBU will stay at home following the matchup with Central Arkansas. They will be the fist game in the Saturday men's and women's double-header against Nicholls starting at 2p.m. Feb. 16.
