WBB: Huskies to Host Southeastern Louisiana Saturday Afternoon
HOUSTON, TX- HBU Women's Basketball welcomes the Lady Lions of Southeastern Louisiana Saturday afternoon in Sharp Gym with tip off set for 2:00 P.M.
HBU (4-6, 0-1 SLC) are coming off a loss in the Southland Conference opener to Stephen F. Austin Wednesday night.
Megan Valdez-Crader continues to lead the Huskies in scoring averaging 9.8 points a game.
Julija Vujakovic has been hot of late averaging 10.5 points over HBU's last four game.
Timia Jefferson follows them up in scoring with 8.6 points per game on the season and is currently third on the team in assists.
Southeastern Louisiana (3-6, 0-1 SLC) is coming off a 57-65 loss to Lamar Wednesday night. Southeastern Louisiana has two scorers that average double-digit figures a game. Ceclia Sterling is currently averaging a clean 14 points a game adding 3,1 rebounds per game. Jyar Francis backs her up with 10.6 points per game off the bench including 4.3 rebounds. The Lady Lions also have a trio that come in above eight points a game in Alexius Horne, Charliee Dugas, and Morgan Carrier.
HBU will then return to action on New Year's Day as they hit the road to face off with Central Arkansas at 1:00 P.M.
