LUBBOCK, TX- HBU Women’s Basketball dropped a close contest on the road Sunday afternoon to the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. The final score was 59-51.
HBU (4-5) were led by the combo of N’Denasija Collins and Marilyn Nzoiwu. Collins led the Huskies in scoring posting 11 points on 4-8 shooting and adding six rebounds and two steals. Nzoiwu got most of her work on the glass grabbing a career high 18 rebounds to go with her six points and two blocks. Julija Vujakovic and Megan Valdez-Crader added nine points and two steals a piece. Vujakovic also grabbed five rebounds and Crader dished out three assists. 
Texas Tech (7-0) was led by Alexis Tucker who led all scorers with 16 points. Tucker barely missed out on a double-double grabbing nine rebounds while adding four assists. Brittany Brewer also just missed out on a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds of her own. Chrislyn Carr followed them up with 14 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
HBU will next return home to Sharp Gym for the start of Southland Conference play Dec. 18th against Stephen F. Austin at 7:00 P.M.
