WBB: Huskies Edged by Northern Arizona
HOUSTON, TX- HBU Women's Basketball fell to the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona Sunday afternoon by a final score of 79-62.
HBU (3-4) was led by
Julija Vujakovic who scored a team high 17 points to go with four rebounds. She was followed by two double-digit scorers in
Timia Jefferson and
Megan Valdez-Crader. Jefferson scored 11 points with two steals and Valdez-Crader scored 11 points with three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The Huskies shot over 43 percent from the field as well as from three-point range going 7-16 from deep.Â
Northern Arizona (2-4) was led by Khiarica Rasheed who scored a game high 28 points on 11-19 shooting. Rasheed added a team high eight rebounds, three steals, and three assists. Jacey Bailey backed her up with 14 points of her own to go with five rebounds and two assists. Regan Schenck added nine points with Nina Radford and Caitlin Malvar putting up eight a piece. The Lumberjacks shot 50 oercent from the field and from three-point range.Â
The Huskies will return to action on the road against ULM and Texas Tech December 7th and 15th.Â
