HOUSTON, TX- HBU Men's Soccer fell to the RoadRunners of CSU-Bakersfield Sunday afternoon by a score of 2-0. The Huskies put up 15 total shots, with a few dangerous chances, but could not find the back of the net.
HBU falls to (6-10, 5-5 WAC) with one game left to play. The Huskies has six shots on goal from five different Huskies led by
Jordi Cobo who had two.
Jorge Cabrera took the loss in goal for the Huskies though he had five saves that kept HBU in the game until the end.
CSU-Bakersfield improved to (7-9, 6-4 WAC) behind the efforts of Ryan Goldsmith and Detre Bell. Goldsmith got the RoadRunners on the board in the 5th minute on a ball from Mickey Vogel to give CSU a 1-0 lead they would hold throughout the first half. Goldsmith would strike again this time in the 85th minute from Ricardo Souza to give the RoadRunners a two goal lead.
HBU will return to action Friday Nov. 9th to wrap up the regular season as the take on Kansas City on Senior Night at Sorrels Field.
