WBB: HBU Set to Welcome Paul Quinn Tuesday Night
HOUSTON, TX- HBU Women's Basketball is set to welcome Paul Quinn to Sharp Gym Tuesday night at 7:00 P.M.
HBU (1-0) comes into the game off the heels of a 67-44 win over LSU-Shreveport last Tuesday. The game saw two freshmen newcomers to the team Kennedy Wilson and Timia Jefferson getting double digit points in their HBU debut. Senior Lauren Calver led all scorers with 14 points on the night. The Huskies showed a varied attack as 11 different Huskies were able to score in the season opener.
Paul Quinn (2-2) is coming into the game off a loss to Texas Wesleyan University Saturday the 9th by a score of 58-71. The offensive output was their lowest of the season as they averaged 87 points coming into that game. HBU leads the all-time series 2-0 with their last meeting coming in 74-54 win in 2017. The Huskies have outscored the Tigers 169-96 with an average margin of victory of 36.5 for HBU.
The Huskies will then begin a tough four-game road stretch that sees them taking on defending national champions Baylor and cross town rival Houston.
