SEATTLE. WA- HBU Men's Soccer fell to Seattle University Friday night by a score of 5-0. The Huskies have a quick turn around as they take on San Jose State Sunday afternoon.
HBU (2-6, 0-2 WAC) struggled in second half after holding the Redhawks to a lone goal in the first half. The Huskies were able to get two shots on goal on the night coming from
Luis Poblacion and
Gianluca Natera.
Jorge Guzman made a total of nine saves on the night including eight in the second half alone. HBU took five corners on the night one behind Seattle who took six.Â
Seattle improved to (5-3-2, 2-0 WAC) behind James Morris who scored twice on the night. The top two scorers coming into the game Noe Meza and Declan McGlynn each got a goal as Cody Buchanan rounded out the scoring. The Redhawks were able to take 35 shots with 15 coming on goal. Akili Kasim got the shutout in goal for Seattle making two saves.
HBU will head straight to San Jose State as they play Sunday at 3:30 before playing their WAC home opener next Friday against UTRGV.Â
