MSOC: Faletto Scores Golden Goal as Huskies Down San Jose St
SAN JOSE, CA- HBU Men's Soccer gets past San Jose State in overtime period one on the Golden goal from
Dominick Faletto.
HBU (3-6, 1-2 WAC) got their first win in WAC play with a nail biting 3-2 victory. San Jose State got on the board first as they scored in the 11th minute on a goal from Nicolas Brenes. The Huskies would strike back in the 1st half with goals from
Lucas Vazquez and
Gianluca Natera to take a lead into the half. The Spartans struck first in the 2nd half as Rudy Castro scored on a penalty kick to knot things up at two. HBU would secure the victory in overtime as
Luis Poblacion's corner service was headed in by
Dominick Faletto.Â
HBU had 12 shot with nine on goal with their lone corner kick being the game winner.
Jorge Guzman got the start in goal for HBU and made seven saves in the game.
HBU will return to action this Friday Oct. 11 as they take on UTRGVÂ at Sorrels Field. at 7:30 P.M.
