PHOENIX, AZ- HBU Men's Soccer takes down Grand Canyon in overtime by a final score of 4-3.
HBU improves to (4-9, 2-5 WAC) in the victory. HBU was led by
Dominick Faletto who scored all four of the Huskies goals on the night. Faletto got the scoring started in the 11th minute assisted by
Jordi Cobo and
Gianluca Natera. Faletto would push the HBU lead to two with a 25th minute goal again assisted by Natera. Grand Canyon would get one back off the foot of Ben Wilton in the 31st minute. Faletto would secure the hat trick early in the second half off a penalty kick before Grand Canyon would scream back into the match with goals from Justin Rasmussen and Cameron Weller. With the match tied teams set up for overtime which saw Faletto set a program record with his fourth goal of the night on another penalty kick.
HBU will now travel to Las Vegas to wrap up their final road trip in WAC play. The Huskies match with UNLV is set for Sunday at 3:00 P.M.
