SAN ANTONIO - HBU hit a season high .451 to cruise to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-19) sweep over UIW in Southland Conference volleyball Thursday night in the McDermott Center.

Mikayla Vivens hit .355 and led the Huskies (12-10, 4-3 SLC) with 14 kills to go along with eight digs, while sophomore outside hitter
Kelly Colwell hit .474 with 10 kills, only one error, and six digs. Sophomore middle blocker
Ebonie Ballesteros hit .643 with nine kills, no errors and three blocks, and junior right side
Ashtyn Richey added six kills. Junior setter
Morgan Dewyer hit .875 with seven kills, no errors, 32 assists and 11 digs. Senior libero
Hannah Lewis also came up with 11 digs.
Bethany Clapp had nine kills and six digs for the Cardinals (4-17, 0-7). Julia Monday had six kills and Cameron Taylor had five. Presley Blaylock recorded 15 assists, Maddi Brown led UIW with nine digs and Pilar Gonzaga had six digs.
The Cardinals hit .208, but the Huskies outdug them, 43-30, outblocked them, 5.0-2.0, and outaced them, 5-2.
HBU returns home to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday at 1 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
