WBB: Huskies Take on ULM in Last Non-Conference Matchup
HOUSTON- HBU women's basketball hosts ULM in its last non-conference matchup of the season Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in Sharp Gym. The Huskies are coming off a 56-74 loss to Oral Roberts last Sunday where the Golden Eagles got out to a quick lead and never relinquished it.
Taylor Kollmorgen put up 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds and
Lauren Calver scored 17 points and added seven rebounds in the loss. ULM is coming off a loss to Southland Conference's Southeastern Louisiana Monday night 42-49. ULM's Lauren Fitch was the only double digit scorer for the Warhawks posting 13 points and adding six rebounds.
Junior
Lauren Calver leads the Huskies in points per game with 14.7 and got her first start of the season Sunday after working back from an injury. Senior
Amanda Johnson continues to bring energy off the bench for HBU averaging 13.0 points per game. Sophomore
Taylor Kollmorgen is the Huskies leading rebounder snagging 7.9 a game.
ULM (5-4) is coming to the end of their non-conference schedule that saw them face five Southland Conference opponents with the Warhawks going 3-2 in those matchups. This Game proves to be a good test for the Huskies to compare themselves to some of the other teams in the conference. ULM is led by Arsula Clark who leads the Warhawks in scoring with 12.8 points per game and rebounding with 6.1 rebounds per game.
Following this game the Huskies will have a short break for the holidays and return to action in the new year facing off against Lamar in Beaumont Jan. 2 at 7:00 p.m.
