HOUSTON – HBU hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym in a key matchup of the two teams tied for fifth in the Southland Conference volleyball standings heading into the final week of regular-season action. The Huskies will honor their three seniors – middle blockers

Sophomore outside hitter
Mikayla Vivens was named the SLC Offensive Player Week after her performances last weekend and leads the Huskies (14-14, 7-7 SLC) with 3.54 kills and 3.15 digs per set and a league-leading 20 double-doubles. O'Brien is second in the conference with 18 double-doubles, ranks second in the league with 9.69 assists per set, while adding 2.68 digs per set. Redshirt freshman outside hitter
Kelly Colwell has returned from an injury and is averaging 2.98 kills per set, while sophomore middle blocker, freshman outside hitter
Catherine Drapela and sophomore right side
Ashtyn Richey each add around two kills per set, with Davenport chipping in with 1.75 kills per set.
Defensively, Patillo leads the squad with 99 blocks and Davenport has 93. Junior libero
Hannah Lewis has registered at least 20 digs in each of the last three matches and is averaging 4.04 digs per set. Freshman defensive specialist
Cici Collins has double-digit digs in the last 10 matches and is up to 2.60 digs per set, with junior defensive specialist
Camie Copeland coming up with 2.08 digs per set.
Julia Carter leads the Islanders (8-19, 7-7) with 2.61 kills, with Rachel Young, Chloe Simon and Sam Dumity each averaging at least two kills per set. Madison Green sets the pace for TAMU-CC with 7.62 assists per set and averages 2.43 digs and 1.86 kills per set. Kaylee Payne averages 2.78 digs per set and Jenna Krenek is close behind at 2.72.
HBU pulled out a five-set victory over TAMU-CC on Oct. 11 in Corpus Christi.
With only two conference matches on the slate Tuesday, neither team can clinch a berth in next week's Southland Conference Tournament in Natchitoches, Louisiana, but the victor could clinch when the rest of the league returns to action Thursday.
