HOUSTON - HBU wraps up the season by hosting Sam Houston State on Senior Day Saturday at 2:04 p.m. at Husky Stadium. The game will stream live on the Southland Digital Network and the Southland family of apps, with the audio broadcast available on the DNA Husky Sports Network on HBUHuskies.com.
 
Sophomore quarterback Bailey Zappe has completed 235-of-401 passes for 2,593 yards and 23 touchdowns, which ranks ninth nationally for the Huskies (1-9, 0-8 SLC). Freshman Jerreth Sterns has set single-season records with 66 catches for 662 yards and his five total touchdowns are tied for the school record. Senior David Racine has 26 catches for 432 yards, has tied the single-season record with five touchdown receptions and owns the career record with eight. Sophomore running backs Dreshawn Minnieweather and LaDarius Dickens have combined for 10 touchdowns.
 
Sophomore linebacker Langston Tunson ranks third in the nation with 12.6 tackles per game (101 total) and ranks 10 with 13.5 tackles for loss, while sophomore linebacker Caleb Johnson ranks 25th nationally with 9.2 tackles per game (92 total) and among the top 50 with 12.5 TFLs. Junior defensive end Andre Walker has 3.5 sacks and owns the school career record with 10. Sophomore safety Patrick Wolfe and senior linebacker Kyle Bowling each have two interceptions.
 
Ty Brock has completed 159-of-280 passes for 2,166 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Bearkats (5-5, 4-4). Nathan Stewart has made 51 catches for 963 yards and four touchdowns, while Davion Davis has 52 catches for 569 yards and 10 touchdowns. Kyran Jackson is SHSU's leading rusher with 752 yards and eight scores.
 
Hunter Brown has made 90 tackles for SHSU, while Derick Roberson has 59 stops and is tied for the national lead with 14 sacks. DJ Curtis and Jaylen Thomas each have two interceptions.
 
SHSU leads the all-time series against HBU, 4-0, including last season's 53-33 win in Huntsville.
 
The Huskies will honor 11 seniors Saturday: Racine, Bowling, linebacker Taylor Holmes, defensive end Johnavhon Graham, cornerbacks Derek Broussard and Raphael Lewis, defensive end DaMarko Williams, tight end Tyler Kelly and offensive linemen Francis Bongwalanga, Aaron Gonzalez and Mason Thompson.
 
HBU is scheduled to open the 2019 season at UTEP Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Sun Bowl in El Paso.
