Junior guard
Amanda Johnson lead the Huskies (4-9, 0-3 SLC), shooting 46.8 percent from the field with 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. She is ranked fourth in the conference for scoring. Sophomore guard
Sophie Taylor is shooting 31.5 percent from the floor and 32.1 percent (35-of-46) from the 3-point range. She contributes 10.3 points a game and 3.5 rebounds, while junior center
Veronika Kirienko ranks third in the conference with 50.0 percent in field goal percentage, averaging 7.8 points and 5.5 boards. HBU is ranked first in blocked shots with an average of 4.8 blocks a game, keyed by junior center
Natalia Gwarda, who the conference with 24 blocks, averaging 2.2 a game. HBU also leads the conference in defensive rebounds, averaging 27.9 a game.
The Wildcats (10-4, 4-0 SLC) are led by Dominique Golightly with 13.8 points, 7.1 boards and 13 blocks. Breanna Wright averages 12.6 points and 4.2 rebounds, leading ACU with 65 assists and 25 steals and the conference in free-throw percentage. Sara Williamson adds 13.0 points a game with 54 assists and 25 steals, while Josie Larson leads the conference with a 45.0 3-point percentage.
The Huskies will face Sam Houston State Saturday, Jan. 13 at 3 p.m., before returning to Sharp Gym to take on Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. and McNeese Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m.
