The Huskies (6-13, 2-7 SLC) are led by the number four scorer in the conference, junior guard
Amanda Johnson, who is shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 36.2 percent (21-of-58) from the 3-point range and 83.8 percent (57-of-68) from the free-throw line, which ranks her fifth in the conference. She averages 16.1 points a game and 4.8 boards. Sophomore guard
Sophie Taylor averages 9.2 points and 3.2 boards, while sophomore forward
Lauren Calver is producing 8.7 points and 3.8 rebounds overall and 11.2 points and 4.4 boards in conference play. Sophomore guard
Sydney Carr adds 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds a game, contributing 9.7 points in conference.
Stephen F. Austin (16-3, 8-0 SLC) maintain the top spot in the conference, as the only team to go undefeated. The Ladyjacks have three players scoring in double digits. Stevi Parker is shooting 45.6 percent from the floor with 12.1 points and leads the conference with 9.8 rebounds. Chanell Hayes puts up 11.1 points and grabs 3.8 boards. Taylor Jackson is second in the conference from the 3-point line, shooting 40.0 percent (26-of-65).
The Huskies will enjoy an off weekend, before traveling to face Central Arkansas Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. and Nicholls Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. HBU will return home to host Northwestern State Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. and Sam Houston State Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.
