Amanda Johnson leads the scoring for the Huskies (5-12, 1-6 SLC), shooting 44.4 percent from the floor and 18-of-52 from the 3-point range. She averages 16.3 points per game, which ranks third in the conference. Sophomore guard
Sophie Taylor averages 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds a contest, while sophomore forward
Lauren Calver contributes 8.3 points and 3.9 boards a game. In conference play, she averages 11.0 points and brings down 5.0 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Sydney Carr ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage (50.6), averaging 7.9 points overall and 10.6 points in conference.
UIW (3-15, 2-5 SLC) is returning home for the first time, after falling on the road to four of the top five teams in the conference. The Cardinals are led by Imani Robinson, who is shooting 33.3 percent from the field with 11.3 points per contest. Sydnee Wynn averages 7.6 points and 7.1 rebounds a game. Kara Speer leads at the 3-point line, shooting 32.6 percent and puts up 6.4 points a game.
The Huskies lead the all-time series 8-1, after losing on the road, 64-59, in the last meeting on Feb. 2, 2017.
The Huskies remain on the road for a 5 p.m. game at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday, Jan. 27, before briefly returning home Wednesday, Jan. 31 to host Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. They will then travel to Central Arkansas Feb. 7 and Nicholls Feb. 10.
