The Huskies (5-10, 1-4 SLC) are led by
Amanda Johnson, who is shooting 46.0 percent and is averaging 16.7 points and 5.1 rebounds a game. She is the only player to start all of the Huskies 15 games, averaging 34.1 minutes a game. Johnson ranks third in the conference for scoring and fifth for free-throw percentage (.833). Sophomore guard
Sophie Taylor averages 9.9 points, while
Lauren Calver averages 7.9 points and 3.7 rebounds, contributing 11.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in conference play. Leading the team in rebounds is junior center
Veronika Kirienko, who averages 5.7 boards and 6.8 in conference action.
Taylin Underwood leads Southeaster Louisiana (1-15, 0-5 SLC), shooting 38.0 percent from the line, hitting 61-of-153 from the 3-point range, and averaging 20.6 points and 5.1 rebounds. In conference only play, she averages 25.6 points. Jyar Francis averages 10.6 points and 11.4 in conference. Caitlyn Williams puts up 7.3 points and leads the team with 6.8 rebounds a game. Tyler Morrison leads the Lady Lions with 46 assists and 25 steals.
Southeastern Louisiana leads the all-time series, 1-3. HBU lost at home, 87-71, in the last meeting on Jan. 5, 2017. The Huskies defeated the Lady Lions on Jan. 9, 2016 at home, 64-56.
HBU will remain home to face McNeese Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m., before visiting Incarnate Word Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday, Jan. 27.
