CONWAY, Arkansas – HBU fell to Central Arkansas and ULM, both by 3-2 scores, at the UCA Beach Tournament Friday at the Beach Bear Sand Courts.

Jessica Wooten cruised past Hadley Swartz and Tara Jenkins, 21-12, 21-11, while the No. 2 duo of freshman

Kayla Armer downed Claire Crossfield and Kori Simpson, 21-14, 21-5. At No. 3, senior

Bailey Banks fell to the Warhawks' Delaney Driver and Gabby Love, 23-21, 22-20, while seniors

Taylor Livoti dropped the No. 4 match to Rebecca Brown and Catherine Griffith, 24-22, 21-15. At No. 5, freshman

Madison O'Brien were defeated by Grace Convey and Bailey Smith, 21-17, 21-14.
In the matchup against UCA, O'Brien and Wheeler held off the Bears' Amy South and Mackenzie Dear, 22-20, 12-21, 20-18 at No. 5, but UCA evened the score at No. 4 with MC Rogers and Kellen Dunn outlasting Thomas and Livoti, 21-17, 11-21, 15-10. Kate Elman and Heather Schnars downed Fuchs and Banks at No. 3, 21-14, 21-10, but Armer and Hinojosa answered at No. 2 by rallying past Kristine Hjembo and Stephanie Pollnow, 16-21, 21-16, 15-10, to even the match 2-2. The match came down to the No. 1 spot, where UCA's Hayley Tippett and Megan Nash clipped Wooten and Horton, 21-17, 14-21, 18-16. The Huskies won the exhibition match, with freshman
