CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – HBU won all five matches, plus the alternate match, as the Huskies opened the season with a sweep on the road against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in beach volleyball action Tuesday afternoon on the courts at the Dugan Family Track and Soccer Stadium.

Hannah Lewis downed TAMU-CC's Mackenzie Coates and Morgan Williams, 24-22 and 21-15.
"It was exciting to see the ladies showcase their skills today," HBU associate head coach
Cameron Sitler said. "We're looking forward to traveling to Gulf Shores, where they host the national championship, and work on aspects we need to improve here in the early stages of the season."
The Huskies will compete in the Badger Beach Bash Saturday and Sunday in Gulf Shores, Alabama. HBU face host Spring Hill College Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by Austin Peay at 3 p.m. On Sunday, the Huskies take on Tulane at 10 a.m., followed by Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m.
