MONROE, Louisiana – HBU dropped 4-1 decisions to both Central Arkansas and TCU at the Bayou Beach Bash hosted by ULM Friday.
In HBU's first match, senior Katie Armer and freshman
Tori Hinojosa were the only pair to pull out a victory, 21-18, 21-19, over Central Arkansas' Kristine Hjembo and Stephanie Pollnow at no. 2. The Huskies' top pair of senior

Aeriel Horton had their six-match winning streak snapped by Megan Nash and Hayley Tippett by the narrowest of margins, 25-23, 21-19. At No. 3, Heather Schnars and Kate Elman downed senior

Bailey Banks, 21-13, 18. The no. 4 and 5 matches each went three sets, with seniors
Taylor Livoti and
Tiffany Thomas edged by Kellen Dunn and MC Rogers, 26-24, 18-21, 16-14 at no. 4, then senior
Morgan McDaniel and freshman
Danielle Wheeler were clipped by Amy South and Mackenzie Dear, 20-22, 21-10, 15-9. In the exhibition match, freshman

Madison O'Brien fell to Abbie Harry and Kimberly Schnars, 21-19, 21-19.
In the evening, Fuchs and Banks rallied past TCU's Haven Hill and Avery Arellano, 9-21, 21-18, 15-12. Wooten and Horton were downed by Amy Neal and Jaelyn Greene, 21-16, 21-17, while Armer and Hinojosa fell to Jillian Bergeson and Shane Peters, 21-17, 21-10. Livoti and Thomas were edged by Claire Dowle and Bridget Odmark, 21-15, 18-21, 15-13, and Wheeler and McDaniel were defeated by Sarita Mikals and Ariah Palter, 21-13, 21-13. In the exhibition match, Lewis and O'Brien clipped Jensyn Bledsoe and Jordan Terral, 21-19, 21-17.
The Huskies, who are now 8-8 on the season, wrap up the tournament against ULM Saturday at 11 a.m.
