BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – HBU beach volleyball rebounded from the previous days setbacks to record a pair of victories over North Florida, 4-1, and Spring Hill College, 3-2, to conclude the Tiger Beach Challenge Saturday at Mango's Volleyball Club.
Against UNF, the Huskies' no. 1 squad of senior

Aeriel Horton downed Courtney Miller and Katarina Raicevic, 25-23, 21-16, while the no. 2 tandem of senior

In the afternoon, HBU avenged an early season loss to Spring Hill. Horton and Wooten cruised past Julie Vujnovich and Madi Seuzeneau, 21-16, 21-17, while Armer and Hinojosa had their hands full in a three-set victory over Savannah Becnel and Molly Griffin, 17-21, 21-16, 15-11. Fuchs and Banks lost at no. 3 to Brittany Bilotti and Sarah Senft, 28-26, 21-18, while Thomas and Livoti fell at no. 4 to Hannah Masoner and Caroline Hererra, 14-21, 21-14, 15-8. McDaniel and Wheeler pulled out the decision in the no. 5 match over Payton Gidney and Emily Greim, 14-21, 21-14, 15-8. In the alternate match, O'Brien and Lewis lost to Catherine Milwee and Taylor Hurst, 21-11, 21-11.
HBU improves to 5-5 on the season.
The Huskies will host the Third Coast Classic Friday and Saturday at Third Coast Volleyball. HBU faces New Orleans Friday at 1 p.m., followed by ULM at 7 p.m., then take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday at 1 p.m. and Texas A&M-Kingsville at 5 p.m.
