The Huskies (2-3) are led by junior guard
Amanda Johnson, who is shooting 41.8 percent from the field and averages 12.8 points with 5.2 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Britta Daub leads the team with 31.0 minutes per game and is HBU's top rebounder, who averages 5.6 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Sophie Taylor contributes 9.6 points per game, while junior center
Veronika Kirienko averages 7.5 points and 4.0 rebounds a game.
UTEP (4-1) is coming off of a loss to University of New Mexico Thursday night at Don Haskins Center, 59-35. The Miners are led by Tamara Seda, who averages 15.0 points and 9.8 rebounds a game. Najala Howell contributes with 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds. Katarina Zec puts up 9.4 points a game, while Jordan Alexander adds 8.2 points and 7.0 rebounds.
HBU has traveled to UTEP for every match-up and trails the all-time series record 1-4, after falling to the Miners, 75-45 , in their last meeting on Nov. 30, 2016. The Huskies defeated UTEP, 87-77, back on Dec. 6, 2014, which was head coach
Donna Finnie's second season at the helm.
HBU will return to Sharp Gym for back-to-back home games, beginning with Paul Quinn on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. The Huskies will then battle Huston-Tillotson Sunday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m.
