HOUSTON – HBU women's basketball faces LeTourneau in non-conference women's basketball for its home opener Wednesday Nov.14 at 5 p.m. in Sharp Gym. The HBU live video and the Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Bill Cousins will be available on HBUHuskies.com.

The Huskies (0-1) are coming off of a 90-43 loss to No. 23 South Florida in the season opener Sunday in Tampa, Florida. Sophomore guard Sophie Taylor led the Huskies with a career-high 15 points hitting 3-of-6 from behind the arc. Sophomore guard Shannon Jones and junior center Veronika Kirienko each chipped in with seven points. Sophomore guard Britta Daub pulled down eight rebounds.

LeTourneau (0-1) dropped its season opener, 82-39, to Northwestern State, on Sunday in Natchitoches. The YellowJackets were led by Keauna Whitfield with 11 points and seven rebounds. Alexandria Thorne and Sha'Donnaver Young each contributed with eight points. Karley Patterson chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

HBU will travel for two non-conference matchups against Rice on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m., followed by Oral Roberts Saturday, Nov. 25 at 12:30 p.m. The Huskies will return home Wednesday Nov. 29 to take on Jarvis Christian at 7 p.m.
