BATON ROUGE – The HBU beach volleyball team will close out their inaugural season, participating the Battle on the Bayou across April 30-May 1.
The Huskies will face host No. 9 LSU, No. 16 New Mexico, New Orleans and TCU, at Mango's Beach Volleyball Club.

HBU enters the weekend with a 6-9 overall record. The Huskies are coming off a 2-1 showing in their inaugural host tournament – HBU Beach Invitational – defeating UNO and Lee College by scores of 4-1 and 5-0, respectfully. Tandem

Jessica Wooten lead the team with a 9-6 record, winning all three matches in the tournament. Tandem
Kayla Armer and
Haley Durham also won all three of their matches and now sit 3-1 on the season since being paired together.
The Huskies are familiar with three of the four teams that make up the rest of field, having already played LSU (0-1), UNO (1-0) and TCU (0-2). LSU enters its host tournament with an 18-8 overall record, but are just 2-4 on their home court. TCU is 16-6 and UNM is 16-7 record, while UNO sits 3-15.
