HOUSTON – The HBU beach volleyball team will retake the sand, hosting the inaugural HBU Beach Invitational at Third Coast Volleyball in Houston across April 15-16.
The Huskies will face Lee College, New Orleans and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi across the two-day format.

Friday, April 15
• New Orleans at HBU, 1 p.m.
• New Orleans vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 3:15 p.m.
Saturday, April 16
• Lee College at HBU, 9 a.m.
• Lee College vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 11:15 a.m.
• Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at HBU, 1:30 p.m.
HBU enters the tournament with a 4-8 overall record. The Huskies ran up against a loaded field in their last time out, seeing three ranked opponents in No. 8 Georgia State, No. 12 LSU and host No. 18 Tulane, going 0-4.

The Huskies are familiar with one of the incoming opponents, having already faced TAMU-CC five times this season. HBU leads the all-time series, 4-1. The Islanders come in with a 1-8 overall record, as the lone win came in a 3-2 decision over the Huskies in Corpus Christi, Texas, on April 1.
UNO enters with a 3-13 overall record, with wins over Spring Hill College (3-2), Missouri Baptist (5-0) and Jacksonville State (4-1), while Lee College (0-0) is playing its first beach matches of the season.
Following the host tournament, the HBU will close the season on the road. The Huskies will participate in LSU's Battle on the Bayou across April 30-May 1.
