The Huskies (14-10, 8-3 SLC) are coming off their third loss in Southland Conference play in as many games, falling 83-76 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday. Senior
Anthony Odunsi scored a team-high 21 points, while juniors
Colter Lasher and
Alex Fountain posted 15 and 11 points, respectfully. Freshman

Reveal Chukwujekwu finished with seven points and accompanied Odunsi with six boards. HBU shot a season-high 92.9 percent (26-28) at the free throw line. The Huskies sit in third place in the Southland standings.
Statistically, HBU is second in the SLC in scoring (78.2 per game), blocks (4.5 per game), field goal percentage (.476) and field goal percentage defense (.414), and third in rebounding (38.1 per game). In league play, sophomore
Josh Ibarra leads all in field goal percentage (.686) and junior
Alex Fountain holds the mark in free throw percentage (.923), while Odunsi ranks fourth in scoring (20.5 per game). On the season as a whole, Ibarra leads the league from the field (.631), also ranking fifth in both blocks (1.4 per game) and rebounding (6.6 per game). Odunsi sits fifth in scoring (17.3 per game) and is sixth at the NCAA Division I level with 168 made free throws and seventh with 200 attempts.
Freshman
Isaiah Robinson is third in the SLC in blocks (2.18 per game), sitting third in the country among all freshman and 31st overall.
The Bearkats enter the weekend at 12-12 overall (7-4 SLC) under head coach Jason Hooten and sit fifth in the standings. SHSU is led offensively by juniors Aurimas Majauskas and Dakarai Henderson, averaging 14.0 and 13.7 points per game, respectfully. In conference play, Henderson averages 14.9 points and Majauskas averages 13.5 points per contest.
The Huskies defeated the Kats, 70-69, inside Sharp Gym on Jan. 30, HBU's last win on the season. In that game, Odunsi went to the line and knocked down the game-winning free throw with three seconds left.
Following Saturday's tilt, HBU will return to Sharp Gym for a three-game homestand, starting Monday with Lamar. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
