BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The HBU men's basketball team heads to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to take on the ninth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. CST. The Huskies picked up win number three on the season on Wednesday evening, taking down Saint Peter's in Sharp Gym by a score of 62-47. The game was tied 22-22 at the half with HBU using a 16-0 run and holding the Peacocks scoreless for more than eight minutes to run away with the game in the second half. HBU held Saint Peter's to just seven rebounds in the second half. Junior
Josh Ibarra posted his first double-double of the season with game-highs of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Reveal Chukwujekwu added 13 points and seven boards for the Huskies.
Senior
Colter Lasher, averaging a team-best 13.1 points per game, is currently one made three-pointer away from joining HBU's top-10 all-time list. Additionally, he is 129 points away from 1,000 points scored for his career. As a team, the Huskies are scoring 82.6 points per game for the 43
rd highest scoring offense in the country.
Indiana enters the game having won four-straight and sporting a 7-1 record, including a perfect 6-0 mark at home. James Blackmon Jr. leads the Hoosiers with 16.7 points per game and is second on the team, averaging 7.1 rebounds. Three other plays, Robert Johnson, OG Anunoby, and Thomas Bryant, all average at least 12 points for IU. The Hoosiers are out-scoring opponents by 19.4 points for the year and hold a +14.9 rebounding advantage per game, the second-best ratio on the nation.
This game marks the first ever meeting between the two programs.
