ABC (7-5) has six players scoring in double figures, led by Zayda Gonzalez, who averages 20.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 3.9 steals per game, while shooting 47.4 percent (36-for-76) from 3-point range. Aimee Brown averages 14.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and leads the Patriots with 3.8 assists per game, while Moniqua Smith adds 12.5 points and leads the team with 6.1 boards per contest. Jayzhia Softly adds 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds, Stonni Farmer scores 11.6 points and pulls down 4.3 rebounds and Kayla Beattle averages 10.6 points and 5.7 boards. The defending NCCAA Division II national champion Patriots are outscoring their opponents by nearly 30 points per game, 89.6 to 60.3.
HBU leads the all-time series against ABC, 1-0, defeating the Patriots, 92-62, on Dec. 13, 2014, in Houston.
The Huskies will have 12 days off with finals next week, before concluding their three-game homestand with their final game before Christmas against ULM Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym.
