ABILENE, Texas – HBU rebounded to win the third set after going into the break down 2-0, but ran out of steam in the fourth in a 3-1 (23-25, 26-28, 25-23, 13-25) loss in Southland Conference volleyball Thursday night at Moody Coliseum.

Kayla Armer had 38 assists for the Huskies (17-13, 8-6 SLC) to break HBU's all-time record with 4,960. She passed Natalie Magat, who totaled 4,924 from 2006-09. Senior right side Ashley Vann led the Huskies with 16 kills, while junior outside hitter
Bailey Banks had 13. Junior middle blocker
Blair Gillard added seven kills and five blocks, and HBU was led defensively by sophomore
Rachel Angeles with 15 digs and junior libero
Hailey Erickson with 11.
Dorothy Swanson posted 19 kills and 12 digs for ACU (9-19, 8-5), with Jacey Smith chipping in with 15 kills and Marybeth Sandercox with 13. Kendall Bosse dished out 50 assists to go with six kills, eight digs and four blocks. Amanda Chapa came up with 19 digs and Courtney Miller totaled six blocks.
The Wildcats outhit the Huskies, .284-.179, outdug them, 56-50, and outblocked them, 11-8.
HBU will have the weekend off and return home for the final two matches of the regular season Thursday against Incarnate Word at 7 p.m., followed by Senior Day in the finale against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m.
