SAN ANTONIO – Fourth-seeded HBU will face fifth-seeded and host Central Arkansas in the first round of the Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Farris Center.
The Huskies (18-14, 9-7 SLC) are led by first-team all-conference setter
Kayla Armer, who leads the conference with 10.14 assists per set. Junior outside hitter
Bailey Banks was also a first-team selection, ranking second in the league with 3.66 kills per set and ranks 10
th in the league with 3.29 digs per set. Senior outside hitter

Blair Gillard has tied the Southland Conference record with 163 total blocks, ranking second with 1.31 blocks per set. Junior libero
Hailey Erickson leads the Huskies defensively with 3.37 digs per set.
Haley Tippett leads UCA (15-13, 9-7) with 2.81 kills and 3.14 digs per set and Samantha Anderson averages 2.67 kills per set. Megan Nash averages 2.31 kills and 1.14 blocks per set. Amanda Dimon leads the Sugar Bears defensively with 3.32 digs per set, while Elizabeth Armstrong paces the offense with 9.09 assists per set.
HBU won the regular-season meeting over UCA, 3-1, on Oct. 8 in Houston.
No. 2 Stephen F. Austin faces No. 7 Southeastern Louisiana at 11 a.m., No. 3 Sam Houston State takes on No. 6 Northwestern State at 1:30 p.m., followed by No. 1 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi against McNeese at 4 p.m.
