TULSA, Okla. – The HBU volleyball team dropped their opening match of the Golden Hurricane Invitational, falling 3-0 (21-25, 17-25, 21-25) to North Texas on Friday night inside Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Bailey Banks recorded her second double-double of the season, registering 13 digs, 11 kills. Junior outside
Jessica Wooten narrowly missed a double-double with 10 digs and nine kills.
The Huskies (7-5) were outhit .262-.096 by the Mean Green (7-6).
North Texas never trailed in taking the first set 25-21 and followed with a 25-17 win in set two to take a 2-0 lead into the break.
In the third set, both teams pulled even 15 times before the Mean Green broke serve at 16-15 en route to taking a 25-21 victory to close the match in straight sets.
HBU will close the tournament on Saturday, facing host Tulsa (11 a.m.) and Oral Roberts (5 p.m.).
