SPOKANE, Wash. – The HBU men's soccer team plays the final tournament of the regular season when the Huskies take on Milwaukee and Hartwick this weekend at the Gonzaga Invitational. First kick against Milwaukee is 2 pm central time Friday, while the Huskies and Hawks close out the tournament Sunday at 6 pm central.
 
These will be the first meetings between the two teams. Milwaukee is a member of the Horizon League while Hartwick is part of the Sun Belt Conference.
 
In HBU's (2-2-0) last matches, Marcelo Acuna scored both goals as the Huskies went 1-1-0 at the UT-Rio Grande Valley Invitational last weekend, falling to IPFW 2-1 and defeating previously unbeaten Buffalo 1-0 in overtime. On the season, Acuna is second in the WAC in points (7), tied for second in goals (3), and fourth in points per game (1.75). Between the pipes, Philip Poser has seen most of the action, with a 1-2-0 record, a 0.86 GAA, a .727 save percentage, and one shutout. Chance Pope saw his first collegiate action against Buffalo and made two saves in 50 minutes, while recording a shared shutout with Poser.
 
Milwaukee (1-2-1) is on a three-game winless streak (0-2-1), with the most recent setback a 1-0 loss at Bradley Sunday. Declan Rodriguez leads the team in goals (2), points (5) and has the lone game winner. Agustin Rey is 1-2-1 in goal with a 1.89 GAA and a .692 save percentage.
 
Hartwick (1-1-2) recorded two ties in its home tournament last weekend. The Hawks face Gonzaga Friday. Jamie O'Grady has two goals and four points to lead Hartwick, while Wyatt Scott has the team's game-winning tally. In goal, Lenny Wilson is 1-1-2 with a 0.90 GAA, a .789 save percentage, and two shutouts.
 
Following the tournament, HBU concludes the road trip at SMU Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 pm before hosting Central Arkansas Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1 pm to conclude the non-conference portion of the schedule.
