SAN ANTONIO – HBU led by two at halftime, but Incarnate Word's Kyle Hittle scored 25 of his game-high 28 points in the second half to lead the Cardinals to a 77-64 victory over the Huskies in Southland Conference basketball Monday night at the McDermott Center.

Josh Ibarra recorded his second career double-double for the Huskies (11-13, 6-8 SLC), tying his career-high with 14 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and four blocked shots. Junior guard
Anthony Odunsi led HBU with 15 points, while junior guard
Jourdan Stickler had 10 points off the bench. Senior center
Ricmonds Vilde added six points and nine rebounds.
Hittle shot 9-for-14 from the field, 4-for-5 from 3-point range and 6-for-6 from the line while grabbing eight rebounds for the Cardinals (17-7, 9-5). Denzel Livingston went 7-for-14 from the field and finished with 16 points, while Traylin Farris had 13 points.
HBU shot 39.7 percent from the field, 4-for-14 from long range, and 14-for-19 from the line, while UIW shot 42.6 percent from the field, 7-for-18 from 3-point range, and 18-for-22 from the line. The Cardinals outrebounded the Huskies, 37-35.
The Huskies return to action when they host Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym. As part of its 50
th Season celebration, HBU will announce and honor the All-Decade Team of the 2000s at halftime.
