HOUSTON – HBU hosts its second Sun Belt Conference opponent in as many games as the Huskies battle UT Arlington Saturday at 1 p.m. from Sharp Gym.

UTA leads the all-time series, 5-1, and won last year's meeting, 83-73, in Arlington. HBU's win came in Sharp Gym two seasons ago, 72-60.

HBU (4-4) lost its first game in Sharp Gym following a 71-66 defeat to Texas State Wednesday night. The Huskies are now 2-1 this season in Sharp, Texas, while the all-time series with the Bobcats is even at 2-2. Adriiana Jackson came off the bench to tie her career high of 16 points on a personal-best four 3-pointers. Anna Strickland posted her fifth double-double of the season with 10 points and 16 rebounds, while also registering five assists, four steals, and one blocked shot. Rachel Arthur became the 10th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points as she dropped 14 against the Bobcats. Lisa Zderadicka scored a season-high 11 points. On the season, Strickland leads the conference - and is 6th nationally - with 13.4 rebounds per game, is 2nd in the SLC with 1.6 blocked shots per game, and is 7th in scoring with 13.6 points per game.

UTA (3-5) lost to Western Kentucky, 73-64, on Dec. 13. The Lady Mavericks are 1-1 against Southland opponents (L 63-57 vs. McNeese St.; W 67-63 at Stephen F. Austin). On the season, Rebekah VanDijk leads the team in rebounding (7.5 boards per game) and blocked shots (9) and is second in scoring (8.8 points per game). Amara Wainwright is tops with 8.9 points per game.

After Saturday's contest, HBU will take a week off for the holidays before closing both 2015 and the non-conference schedule against Huston-Tillotson on Monday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.
