HOUSTON – The HBU men's basketball team will look to snap a four-game skid, playing their first game in a week and just their second at home this season in a 7:30 p.m. tip against crosstown rival Rice on Wednesday inside Sharp Gym. A video and audio broadcast with Lonnie King will be available on HBUHuskies.com, beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show.

The first 250 fans through the door will receive schedule magnets, laying out the 2015-16 slate.

HBU (1-5) is coming off two losses over the Thanksgiving break, falling 92-68 to South Dakota State and 67-56 to Rider in the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya. Senior Anthony Odunsi led the Huskies over the two games, averaging 10.5 points per contest. The native of Sugar Land, Texas, finished 7-for-10 both from the field and charity stripe to net 21 points against Rider, also registering six rebounds and four assists. For his efforts, he was named a Cancun Challenge All-Tournament selection.

On the season, sophomore Josh Ibarra ranks fourth in the Southland Conference in field goal percentage (.579) and 10th in blocks (1.0 per game), a mark shared with freshman Isaiah Robinson. Senior Jourdan Stickler is 8-for-8 from the free throw line, while freshman Asa Cantwell leads HBU with 10 hits from 3-point land.

The Owls are to a 2-5 start to the season with wins over Lamar (92-84) and UC Riverside (87-81). Rice is led by sophomore Egor Koulechov and freshman Marcus Evans, averaging 18.7 and 16.3 points per game.
