CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The HBU volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 12-25, 15-25) at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Tuesday night inside Dugan Wellness Center.

Melissa Fuchs recorded her second straight 20-dig performance for the Huskies (15-13, 7-6 SLC), scooping 23 Islander (25-4, 13-0 SLC) attacks.
Junior outside hitter
Jessica Wooten led HBU with 12 kills. Senior middle blocker
Allison Doerpinghaus recorded six kills and seven blocks, while junior setter
Kayla Armer recorded 36 assists.
The Huskies turned in their best showing in the opening set, outhitting TAMU-CC .316-.195 in a 25-23 edging. However, the tide turned in the middle of set two. Tied 13-13, the Islanders used on a 7-1 surge to swing momentum and take a 25-21 win heading into the break.
Over the final two sets, HBU was limited to -.100 and .091 hitting percentages in falling 12-25 and 15-25.
The Huskies will close the home portion of their season on Thursday. HBU will host Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. for Senior Night. Doerpinghaus will be recognized prior to first serve.
