HUNTSVILLE, Texas - HBU carries a three-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup against Sam Houston State in Southland Conference basketball at 4:30 p.m. at Johnson Coliseum and broadcast live on ESPN3. The audio broadcast with Lonnie King will be available on HBUHuskies.com, beginning at 4:15 with the pregame show.
 
The Huskies (9-8, 4-3 SLC) swept their recent three-game homestand and are led by junior guard Anthony Odunsi, who averages 12.0 points per game and leads the team with 2.7 assists per game. Sophomore forward Colter Lasher averages 11.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest. Freshman center Josh Ibarra ranks fifth among NCAA Division I freshmen with 2.44 blocks per game and ninth with 7.0 rebounds per game.
 
DeMarcus Gatlin leads Sam Houston State (15-5, 7-1) with 11.3 points per game and pulls down 5.0 rebounds per game, while Jabari Peters averages 10.0 points and 5.1 boards per game. Kaheem Ransom, Michael Holyfield and Dakarai Henderson each average at least nine points per game, with Ransom leading the Bearkats in assists at 4.2 per game and Holyfield leading with 7.8 rebounds per game.

 
HBU is coming off a 79-77 victory over Lamar at home Saturday, completing the sweep of a three-game homestand. They were led by 16 points apiece from Odunsi and senior guard Tyler Russell. Sam Houston State has won 10 of its last 11 and downed Abilene Christian, 80-63, Monday night on the road. The Bearkats had five players score in double figures, led by Ransom's 13.
 
The Huskies return home to face Abilene Christian Monday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym.
