COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – HBU sophomore
Jessica Wooten recorded 18 kills for the Huskies in their 3-2 (24-26, 25-21, 25-27, 25-20, 16-14) victory over Weber State in the first round of the Air Force Tournament Friday evening.

Bailey Keith had 11 kills for HBU (2-3). Senior libero
Haley Hoffman had a match-high of 14 digs for the Huskies, while senior outside hitter
Megan McStravick recorded 11 digs. Sophomore setter
Kayla Armer had 41 assists for HBU. Junior
Allison Doerpinghaus recorded 10 block assists for the Huskies, while freshman
Kayla Davenport had eight.
Audrey Biggs had a match-high of 22 kills for the Wildcats, along with 13 digs. Ciera Borho had 18 kills, while Amanda Varley had 12 for Weber State. Taylor Christensen also recorded a match-high with 58 assists. Mckay Tarbox recorded 13 digs for the Wildcats, while Thamires Calvalcanti had 10 digs.
The Huskies outblocked the Wildcats 19-12. Weber State outhit HBU 68-51. The Wildcats outdug the Huskies 52-46.
The Huskies will return to action Saturday afternoon to face Air Force at 1 p.m., followed by a match against Marist at 6 p.m. to conclude the tournament.
